Finding "That Spot"
You know when you do an asana practice and there's "That Spot" in your body that keeps talking to you and getting your attention and you can either choose to ignore it, avoiding the poses that bring it to your attention, or you can dive deeper into the poses that bring it to the surface? Well, my goal for this cleanse is to honor and not ignore "those spots" and work to more fully integrate them into my practice and daily living. So all the cooking and even the daily yoga practice isn't that daunting for me at this point, so it would be really easy for me to just "cruise the cleanse." But what would be the point of that? So I can sit back and gloat while I hear first-time cooking stories? That doesn't sound appealing at all, really - not if I'd like to get anything positive out of the experience.
So, unlike Kooch, I have an extreme aversion to technology (as I brought up last year). That's one of "my spots." So I am diving in and getting started on this blog thing early - kind of like cutting out caffeine ahead of time (which has been much easier this year - yay!) to avoid the headache on Day 2. It feels good to know that what I get out of the cleanse is completely about what I put into it - just like everything in life, right? A nice reminder, I think.
So I thank you all in advance for helping to support my efforts to go deeper and begin working on the other little habits aversions/attachments, finding and addressing "those spots" that may be able to come forward during the coming week. I look forward to doing the same for all of you! Namaste.

I like this approach. Like, let's starting looking for all the "shoulders" and "hamstrings" and "arm balances" in our lives!
