Approved snack

A couple weeks ago Mike Hartnett, of our cleanse kula, asked me about a snack called "Larabar" and asked if it was approved for the cleanse. In looking at the ingredients, I can't find anything to indicate that it isn't ok to eat on the cleanse. I have a sneaking suspiscion they may not be the tastiest treat in the world but, they could be a good emergency snack to have with you in the event of melting from hunger, starting with Phase 2 when we reincorporate nuts.

I found them at Costco with all the granola bars and am sure they can be found at health food markets too. At Costco it's a box of 18 bars, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie and Cherry Pie

Apple Pie ingredients are: dates, almonds, unsweetened apples, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon
Pecan Pie ingredients are: dates, pecans, almonds
Cherry Pie ingredients are: dates, almonds, unsweetened cherries

Double check the ingredients if you go for other flavors. No added sugar, gluten, dairy and soy free! Thanks Mike!

Hello, there are some other flavors also. They are actually pretty good. FYI, for post cleanse everyone at my work likes the lemon best (tastes like a lemon bar cookie but not as sweet). Ingredients are dates, cashews, almonds, lemon juice concentrate and lemon flavor. Chocolate coconut is also good. Wild Oats, Whole foods, nature's pantry and the Hyvee in independence all carry them.

By the way - if anyone sees the key lime laura bars Mike and I are trying to find them. My personal fav is bannana cookie (almonds, dates and unsweetened bannanas)
