Question?

First off I just did my first 108 Sun Salutation. Loved it!(x's 108) But wow my fingers feel like jello as I am trying to type, never saw that coming. Which brings me to my questions. Why is the magical number 108? And why my fingers?
Next, I loved the effects of the cleanser but now I am out. What have you found locally that has the same effect? Also is it safe to use daily or should one take a break? How about the other supplements, the dandelion root and probiotic?
Also if you have any great healthy recipes you would like to share, please do.
Wishing all of you a Happy New Year!(x's 365)

Hi Leslie! The number 108 has lots of varied significance in the worlds of religion, math and culture. We do 108 Sun Salutations for the Yoga Mala because that's how many beads are in a full-size mala (the one you received during the cleanse has 27, a quarter cycle of a full mala). So where a practioner doing japa would use a mala to repeat their mantra 108 times as they click the beads, we use whole body prayer in the form of a Sun Salutation 108 times.

A Yoga Mala is bound to bring up all kinds of interesting sensations in the body because of it's rather extreme nature. Your fingers are probably related to some tightness or restriction in your shoulders. It should pass. If it doesn't and you lose sensation in them further, you should have it looked at.

The Colon Cleanser we used in the Cleanse is also available at Nature's Pantry. Some bulking agents can be weakening and though this one appears not to be, I would take a break from it now and then. I don't really have scientific data to back that up, it's more philosophical. Too much of anything can be bad and diminish it's efficacy. It's nice to not build up attachments to anything so taking a break for a few weeks would be a good thing. That said, I don't think taking the dandelion root everyday is a bad thing simply because it's effects are not as pronounced as what the cleanser is doing. And many people take a daily probiotic but they can get pricey! It's up to you. As always, it's a pleasure to have you as part of anything we do and thanks for sharing the Mala with your sister in law too!

Happy New Year to all!

Namaste,
Gina

Gina,
Thank you for your insight. I always find it so facinating
I have never felt so at ease and relaxed than I did after class but today my hams are talking to me non stop in a good way. My fingers are back to normal. Thanks again for all that you offer. I am really enjoying waking up!
Love Always,
Leslie

Lately, I have not been very fond of the anise flavor in the colon cleanser (which is strange because I love black licorice) we used for our cleanses so I am taking a different one made by Yerba Prima. It still has the psyllium husks but lacks the ayurvedic compounds in the other cleanser so I take a Triphala supplement seperately.

I heard there was some trouble finding the cleanser at nature's pantry. apparently some of their employees don't know they carry it. anyway, it's in aisle 8B, halfway down the row, top shelf.
