Being ok with making mistakes

I just wanted to share. I have recently been teaching yoga at my gym. Thank you Gina for being such a great teacher. I am not sure why but I was so scared to do this for such a long, long, long time and I was afraid I would mess up and I do but usually never on what I thought and thought and wasted time thinking about for hours. I feel as though I have just shed another layer by just not fearing making a mistake but allowing myself to grow from the mistake. It's quite freeing. After all I am human. I now look for opportunity to stepping out of the box and know it's going to be ok. I'll recover, learn and grow. Thank you yoga for the wonderful insights!!!!! Don't be afraid to just go THROUGH! The other side is so Amazing!

Work in Progress,
Leslie

May our yoga practice supply us with many, many opportunities to have the moment of awakening you have had Leslie! Thanks so much for sharing and for your dedication to learning more.

Leslie, I also feel (I think in much smaller ways than you) that I can take steps outside the "box" because of yoga. I'm reminded of last Tuesday when we tried out wheel ("torture") pose. I was telling my 15 year old daughter about it (she's a pretzel). I told her the only way I could get out of it was to lift my head, release my hands, and hope that the "thud" didn't disrupt the rest of the class. Her response was, "Why didn't you just set your butt down first?"... Why can't I be that smart?

Mistakes happen (often),
Jim

Becky,
I teach yoga and cycle at Extreme Fitness in Lee's Summit. It's a fun place.I hope I can spark a deeper intrest in others to learn more about mindful yoga at the gym. The more you teach the more you grow to understand what you teach.
Namast'e,
Leslie
