I didn't miss practice last week, however I did have a cheeseburger today. Not really happy about that and wanting to step right on out of that rut.
That's it just trying to make every day a good one. I ran in to Chuck (from the spring cleanse)at church on Sunday he was sitting right behind me! Funny how things work, I think it helped Dannie meeting someone that participated in the cleanse as he sometimes thinks every one other than myself has two heads or something. Hope I'm not offending anyone by that comment.
Peace Out

I missed yoga at the studio all last week... and I do mean "missed" it. I really enjoyed the 6 days of yoga. I did manage to get in 1 day of a Ravi/Ana DVD, but I wish I had done more. I am not back on track yet, but I have to say that there must be something to the diet / exercise we practiced during the cleanse. I happened to give blood on about day 5 of the cleanse. I got a letter today indicating my choleterol level on the day of my donation - it was 187 which is 20-25% lower than usual. I am inspired to eat less meat, despite the fact we get a side of beef each year due to my in-laws ranching.
I finally made it back to the studio tonight (Monday), and it felt good. Gina, you have a "gem" of a studio (including Laura) - I have been to several around the metro, and yours' seems so authentic.
Michelle, I am also inspired by your honesty. I am also trying to rise above the "ruts" so that I can "see" them... I think we gain more strength to stay out of the rut each time we climb out.
Keep climbing,
Jim
Made it last night and freaked out my back on the first pose. I stayed with it and was a little better by the end of class. I just finished reading "How Yoga Works" and one of the main characters had a bad back which his teacher explains as a choke-point for all the bad stuff going on in his mind, body, etc (that is the abbreviated story). Well, I figured my back, as my choke-point, underwent some serious bad stuff last week so it just needed a little cleaning out to help it heal. So I closed my eyes and breathed as much good stuff into my back as I could. I am still sore today but doing ok. John and I are looking for babysitters so we can get him to class this week too.
Happy Halloween!

Practiced on Mon. at the studio. Taught Mon. night and Thurs. I did a little everyday. Looking forward to Fri. I'll be there! Always look forward to coming and always take away something. Thank you!
I went overboard this weekend on food. My brothers wedding and all. But jumped back on the wagon Sun. and it felt sooooooo good! Trying to really take notice on how I feel after what I eat. I really think the cleanse helped me in this area.
I also just finished that book You The Owners Manual. I really liked it! Dr. Oz is going to be on Oprah on Thurs.(F.Y.I.)
Off to Halloween parties!
